Christian Lacroix - Ballet Costumes

DANCING DAYS: It’s back to the source — in more ways than one — for Christian Lacroix. The National Costume Museum in Moulins, France, which hosted a 2007 retrospective of Lacroix’s costume designs, will now put the spotlight on a standout 2011 production. The focus of “Christian Lacroix, La Source et le Ballet de L’Opéra de Paris” (or “Christian Lacroix, La Source and the Ballet of the Opera of Paris,” in English) will be the Swarovski Element-embroidered costumes he designed for the latest production of “La Source,” a 19th-century ballet with a cast of harem girls, Cossacks and nymphs. The exhibit is to run from June 16 until Dec. 31 and offer a scene-by-scene look at the accessories and costumes. Wish I was going to be in Paris some time in the 2nd half of this year!

Summer is fast approaching

Memorial Day weekend is only a few days away. Of course, the 90 degree days will be here in a few days also.  The pool in my community just opened 3 weeks ago. So what's a girl to do?  Time to find the perfect bathing suit for the season. Here is something I saw from Juicy Couture that I just fell in love with. Halter top and cute skirted bottom. Frill - 3 weeks to go

It's hard to believe but FRILL is 3 weeks from today! The pictures above are the official posters of Frill. They will be 11X17 size and available for purchase at FRILL. Three major things to mention about FRILL Registration: The DELUXE PACKAGE DEAL, ends at the end of the day, FRIDAY, MAY 25th. It includes EVERYTHING - Saturday admission during the day plus the amazing evening party. (Fashion show, games, contests, live band); Lunch, drink pass AND the Sunday Tea luncheon. All of that for $62.00. After than just the registration fee, at the door, will be $45.00. So don;t miss out. We just announced the schedule for the Saturday evening Party. It's going to be so much fun. Everyone who has Saturday admission can attend. Also, those who don't have Saturday admission can tickets at the door. Mostly this applies to spouses (guys) who won't be attending the Saturday events for Lolitas.

Chauteau Elan Meetup

A few weeks ago we had a meetup at Chauteau Elan. We did a tour of the winery, indulged in a wine tasting and had a fabulous time. Here are some photos. A special surprise was my girlfriend, Halley, come to Atlanta (from San Francisco) for a visit. This happened to be the day (Saturday) after Amber's Batchlorette Party. I probably got 4 hours of sleep (if that) between the two events. Will post about that when I have the photos!
