"Sex and the City" actress Kristin Davis join Ahava

Kristin Davis has recently joined Ahava to become their first celebrity spokeswoman. Ahava is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary and Kristin will only bring more excitement and attention to this well-known mineral brand. Kristin Davis will appear in the company’s ads in print and internet as well as fashion and lifestyle books.

Ahava, if you have never heard of it or tried it, is truly an incredible brand. It infuses high-quality ingredients and uses minerals from the Dead Sea. You skin will feel absolutely revitalized after you experience the products.

As Kristin stated in WWD, “I noticed a difference in my skin the first time I had an experience with them at a spa.”
Ahava does hope to bring a “Dead Sea spa center” to New York soon to give customers treatments and float in a salt pool. I don’t know about you, but I will definitely be there!

I adore the Mineral Shower Gel.
Immerse your body in the luxurious lathering loveliness of our mineral-enriched gel. Its delicate cleansing ingredients, natural moisturizers and mild plant extracts, such as Aloe Vera, washes over you like a fresh spring rain.

Taryn Rose

Taryn Rose Homepage
If an orthopedic surgeon recommended a brand of high heels to you, you'd probably be wise to pay attention. In essence, that's what you get when you buy a pair of Taryn Rose shoes, since Rose herself was trained as an orthopedic surgeon. In fact, it's during that time that Dr. Rose saw first-hand the damage that high heels had caused for her patients. Being a fan of heels herself -- she'd sometimes work 14-hour shifts wearing high heeled shoes -- in the truest sense of the phrase, Rose actually felt her patients' pain.

(My photos show a selection of my Taryn Rose heels)
Having been known to leave a long shift at the hospital and head straight to Neiman Marcus , Taryn's own search for heels that didn't hurt her feet left her as frustrated as the rest of us. As Rose neared the end of her residency, she started thinking about a different career path -- that of a shoe designer.

Leaving the scrubs behind, in 1998, Taryn Rose launched her own line of luxury shoes. The idea was to create shoes that felt good and looked good. Paying homage to her own love of designer footwear, Taryn Rose shoes are created in Italy with some of the finest materials available.

Free of the pointy toes and spiked heels that are so brutal on our feet and bodies, the Taryn Rose line of women's shoes includes high heels, flats, sandals, evening shoes and boots that range from feminine to funky, and have loads of personality. The soles of Taryn Rose women's shoes feature an embossed print of an enlarged rose pattern.

Despite the fact that Taryn Rose shoes are expensive -- ranging in price from $200 to $1200, with most styles falling in the $400-500 price range -- loyal customers can't get enough of her creations.

At her first Beverly Hills boutique, she found that some customers had travelled across the country to purchase as many as 20 pair, and sales were so impressive during trials at stores like Neiman Marcus, that her shoes are now carried at several of their locations, as well as most other high-end department stores.

In recent years, Taryn has opened several other boutiques, including one in Seoul, Korea, and has added men's shoes to the mix. In 2006, a line of handbags bearing the Taryn Rose label was launched. The Taryn by Taryn Rose line features styles that are a bit on the trendier side and are also a bit less expensive, averaging about $200-300 per pair.

While the heels are 3" - 3.5" they actually feel like I am wearing 2" heels. They are very comfortable and look sexy at the same time. A perfect combination.

Prom 2008: Jessica McClintock

Girls:
For prom 2008 Jessica McClintock prom dresses are still a favorite. The dresses are cute or sophisticated whatever your style. McClintock gowns are always on the cutting edge of new styles. Jessica's prom dresses are trendy and yet elegant. Strapless ball gowns with pick-up skirts. Glamorous sexy satin prom dresses. Show off your legs with short prom dresses that Jessica McClintock is famous for. You'll find Jessica McClintock 2008 prom dresses are affordable and fantastic!

The current collection is broad, encompassing all styles - many fashion houses like Tiffany and Joli specialize in one or two styles. The company designs and makes more traditional designs with full length tulle skirts, but it is the shorter designs that are more interesting and mark out this fashion house.

The short skirt styles are perhaps a little further removed from Prom than other styles but each dress can be summed up with two words; romance and elegance. This combination runs right throughout the collection. You won't find the more avant-garde styles of say, an Xcite prom dress; Jessica's designs will appeal to modern, confident girls who aren't afraid to stand out from the crowd, but still want an air of romance in whatever gown they wear.

Despite being a sophisticated fashion house, prices aren't as high as you might have expected. A Jessica McClintock prom dress can be bought for as little as $120. Of course, depending on the fabric used, the quantity used and the type of cut, the prices can go as high as $500.

A real plus point in buying a Jessica McClintock prom gown is that the company makes a pretty comprehensive range of accessories, so getting the entire look is made so much easier - no need to tire yourself out running around looking for those all important accessories to complement your gown. You can even purchase your Prom perfume from the company. Why more fashion houses don't design accessories for their gowns is a mystery to me. So much time and effort goes into choosing the perfect dress and then you have to spend even more time in finding the accessories; it would make life so much easier if you could buy the accessories that were specially made to go with the dress.

Choosing to wear a Jessica McClintock prom dress is choosing to wear a gown that oozes elegance and romance; if this is what you're looking for in a gown then one of them could be just right for you.

Isn't it wonderful to have some many gorgeous choices!

1998: Diva and mainstream spotlight
Dana was chosen to represent Israel in the Eurovision song contest with Diva, a song written by Tzvika Pick. The Orthodox and religious people were opposed to her selection and tried to void her participation in Eurovision. However, in may 1998, Dana performed Diva at the Eurovision contest and took Europe by storm, winning the contest with 174 points. She became a true international superstar, being interviewed by CNN, BBC, Sky News and MTV among others. Dana's own words "the message of reconciliation" which changed Israel's and the outlook of some religious people were; "My victory proves God is on my side. I want to send my critics a message of forgiveness and say to them: try to accept me and the kind of life I lead. I am what I am and this does not mean I don't believe in God and I am not really part of the Jewish Nation.".
Dana released Diva as a single in Europe and it became a hit, reaching number 11 in the UK charts and the top ten in Sweden, Belgium, Finland, Ireland and the Netherlands, selling more than 400,000 copies worldwide.

Lingerie: Chemises

Chemise is a French term (which today simply means shirt). This is a cognate of the Italian word camicia, and the Spanish / Portuguese word camisa (subsequently borrowed by Hindi / Urdu), all deriving ultimately from the Latin camisia.[1] The English called the same shirt a smock and the Irish called it a léine (pronounced /ˈleɪnjə/).

Red Chemise

In modern usage the term chemise generally refers to women's fashions that vaguely resemble the older shifts but are typically more delicate, and usually provocative. Most commonly the term refers to a loose-fitting, sleeveless, shirt-like undergarment or piece of lingerie. It can also refer to a short, sleeveless dress that hangs straight from the shoulders and fits loosely at the waist.

Pink Chemise

There is a similar type of lingerie/sleepwear known as the babydoll. Both terms describe short, loose-fitting, sleeveless fashions. Typically, though, babydolls are more loose-fitting at the hips and are generally designed to more resemble a young girl's nightgown (although many modern varieties only vaguely follow this definition adding various sexualizing features which, of course, would only be appropriate for an adult).
