Spent a lovely weekend in Savannah, Ga. Saturday evening we went into the downtown area for snacks, drinks and people watching. Here we are with Zombie Michael Jackson. So many people were out in costume and having a great time.
I adore all the OPI nail color collections that they market during the year. This falls marketing campaign celebrates the 50th year of James Bond and the release of the new 007 movie, Skyfall starring Daniel Craig.
I can't even begin to explain how much fun our small group of Atlanta Lolitas had marching thru Little Five Points in the Halloween Parade this past Saturday. Waving to the crowd and having our photos taken. Taking in the thousands of people on all sides of the road. Watching the other floats and participants in the parade. Just having an incrediblly fun time. Some photos. Can't wait for next year when we do this bigger and better. Frankly, I want 50 Lolitas in this parade!
Some interesting Lolita things and blogs I have run across in the past few months.
Cute Lolita Girls - Fun Tumblr site with lots of pretty photos. I met the author at AWA. If you scroll thru the photos eventually you will see some of me.
Loli Library - I always assumed (that word!) that everyone knew about Loli Library. The brand list (and details) alone make this a great reference site.
AWA Photo Booth - Was so much fun to go back every day and get some personal photos taken. Really gives you an idea of what you see at AWA. Keep scrolling thru the pics and you'll find me.
Lolita Blog Carnival - This is really great! There is a group of experienced Lolita Bloggers who decide on a topic, set a date and then they all blog post about that topic by date, linking to all the other posts on the same topic. The latest post topic is "Three Print Themes I'm Dreaming of". Here are some links. Enjoy!
On Sunday we drove the 90 minutes north to Ellijay to enjoy the Apple Festival. As usual it seemed like all of Atlanta decided to be there also. Very crowded but we had lots of fun. The trees had already been completely picked but us girls still spent some time walking thru the orchards looking. We eventually filled our bags from the bins in the store.
I bought this gorgeous black skirt at AWA from h. Naoto. That was the incentive to put together this entire outfit for a Halloween meet-up at the end of the month. But Sunday was the Victorian Fair at the Oakland Cemetery in Atlanta. Some photos!
Last Saturday, Oct 6th, was my Birthday. Celebrated by taking my lovely fellow Frill Directors out for dinner (See first photo) and then off to a club for entertainment and dancing until the wee hours of the morning.
As you can see in the photos, I was totally surprised and thrilled by the wonderful gift from the ladies of the Atlanta Lolitas community. I am the luckiest and most blessed girl to have all of these wonderful girlfriends!
I will need to make room, next year, in my Pullip collection for the new Pullip Karen. She is being produced in collaboration with the brand Juliette and Justine.
I saw here in the latest Gothic and Lolita bible and on the Pullip Doll Dreams Site. Isn't she just adorable?
AWA 2012 was a 3 day fun-filled, but exhausting, experience. This was my 4th year at AWA. There were, as usual, over 10,000 attendees at the Cobb Galleria in Marietta.
Part of the reason I was there was the presence of our Frill boutique pop-up shop, Panels, games, fashion show, etc. It's a major marketing opportunity for us.
This is the link to our FRILL fashion show. (BTW - I'm the girl on the left side, in the first row, with the big blonde hair.)
After the Frill fashion show there was a major fashion show with h.Naoto (who is a major brand Gothic designer in Japan). He is well known in the US.
(it's only a clip. The entire show was 30 minutes)
Here is a link to learn more about him and his products. Here is a photo of the two of us at his boutique.
