Recently we had a lovely meet up at the Swan House, at the Atlanta History Center. We had a complete tour of the house. Plus we were allowed to take photos inside and throughout the gardens.
Swan House, traditionally known as one of the most recognized and photographed landmarks in Atlanta, is an elegant, classically styled mansion built in 1928 for the Edward H. Inman family, heirs to a cotton brokerage fortune. The mansion, designed by famed Atlanta architect Philip Trammell Shutze, provides a glimpse into the lifestyle of this Atlanta family during the 1920s and 1930s.
The Sawn House has been used recently as one of the sets for the "Hunger Games".
If there was one major formal event I could attend each year it would be the Met Gala. The Costume Institute Gala, known as the Met Ball or Met Gala, is an annual ball that celebrates the annual opening of the Metropolitan Museum's fashion exhibit at the Costume Institute. The red carpet evening is hosted by Vogue magazine. If there is one night of the year when you can be sure that the fashion won't disappoint, it's the Met Gala. Yesterday evening the biggest designers, editors and celebrities came together to deliver some truly spectacular ensembles. Blake Lively literally stole the show in a curve-hugging Gucci number, Victoria Beckham proved, once again, that she is a fashion force to be reckoned with and Beyoncé was, well, just being Bey. So here are the most gorgeous gowns from the evening!
